Archives Library

The National Archives of Pakistan has established an Archives Library with a focus on the Pakistan Movement and History of South Asia. The Library possesses 19000 rare books. There is a rich collection on Pakistan Movement, War of Independence (1857) and British Rule on India with a main focus on history and culture of Pakistan.


Library Brief

National Archives Library housed a valuable collection of approximately Nineteen-Thousand books with covering period, 1739-2018. The Library possesses a very rare collection and covers Four-Hundred years of diversity of knowledge and history of mankind.
Library also has a diverse literature on Indian History, Mughal History, Indian Mutiny, All India Muslim League, Struggle of Independence, Biographies of Eminent Muslim Leaders of freedom Movement of Pakistan, Cultural, Social and Political History of Pakistan. The specialty of this library is that it covers the British period in India from the invent of East India Company till the Independence of Pakistan. The collection preserved in National Archives Library is very unique and comprises of a huge number of books which are not available in any other Library of Pakistan.
